Our core documents

Our spiritual patrimony dates from the 1820s, and as text, with the notebooks and letters of St Marcellin Champagnat and the early brothers, to our Rule and then Constitutions in its various forms, together with the circulars of superiors general and other writings and research, all of which can be found on our Institute website as well as here by clicking on the cover pages below.

These documents represent a gradual deepening of our spirituality in a way where we 'widen the space of our tent' and in which we move into greater collaboration and co-responsibility as brothers and lay men and women together.

The Constitutions and Statutes of the Little Brothers of Mary preserves the essence of the charism, handed down by the early brothers, expressed for today's Marist religious life in the spirit of St Marcellin Champagnat.

Water from the Rock is a further development of our Marist spirituality flowing in the tradition of St Marcellin Champagnat.

In the Footsteps of Marcellin Champagnat documents our vision for Marist Education today, especially as it pertains to schools and other educational initiatives.

Gathered Around the Same Table recognises that brothers and laity together share the same charism and mission bequeathed to us by St Marcellin Champagnat.

Evangelizers in the Midst of Youth situates our field of mission in which we walk alongside young people.

One Heart One Mission reminds us that the central focus of our mission is the person of Jesus Christ Risen in our midst.
