Sexual Abuse Protocol Committee

Any former students or persons who believe they may have been abused by members of the Order may contact the Marist Brothers' Professional Standards Committee or, alternatively, the local Catholic Diocesan offices.

All complaints will be treated with absolute confidentiality and discretion.

The Professional Standards Committee works upon the guidelines produced in two documents. The Professional Standards Committee, in attending to any complaint received, follows strictly the guidelines laid down in these two documents :

"Integrity in Ministry", March 2000 - a document of principles and standards for Catholic Clergy and Religious in New Zealand.

"Te Houhanga Rongo - A Path to Healing", revised 2007 - Principles and Procedures in responding to complaints of sexual abuse by Clergy and Religious of the Catholic Church in New Zealand.
