Province Formation Meeting
Despite the humidity and the stormy weather, the ambience of the dining room at Marcellin Centre Vatuwaqa, Fiji, with flowers and table cloths was the near-perfect setting for a conversation about initial formation.
On Monday 16 January, the Provincial and Council together with the brothers involved at the various stages of initial formation made use of the World Café process to review and clarify our formation steps and processes. The conversation was animated no doubt because of the questions posed which involved all in the diversity of background, level and type of education, experience, age, culture, choices and values.
The second day involved the people directly involved in initial formation. It was equally animated, even as we fine-tuned some draft documents. An open forum session had everyone sharing in a way that reflected a growing and determined effort to take responsibility for this task in the Province.
